Connection is fundamental to the United Methodist denomination. It is the connection with others that helps us better understand our world and discern God’s plan for us in it.
Book Studies
Common Ground regularly host book studies, both in person and virtually. Recent studies have included: White Too Long, Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again, So You Want to Talk About Race, Church of the Wild, and others.

Bible Studies
Along with periodic studies hosted by the pastors, Common Ground has two regular studies:
Secrets of the Bible
Johnny Clay hosts this study on Sunday mornings in the church basement following worship. The group has interesting and lively discussions as they decode the bible together.
Women’s Study
This group meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 in Common Ground’s fireside room. They are currently going through the book 24 Hours That Changed the World by Adam Hamilton.
Men’s Group
The Men’s Group meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 in Common Ground’s fellowship hall. They enjoy a time of coffee, donuts, and discussion.

Community Forums
Common Ground regularly hosts community forums on topics that are pertinent and timely to what is happening in our community and world. These have included topics such as race, LGTBQ issues, gun control, vaccination information, immigration, the Israeli/Palastinian conflict, and many others.
